On October 29th, the Carolina Review and UNC’s Campus Y will be hosting a talk by Sherif Girgis on the topic of intellectual diversity in academia. Girgis is a Ph.D. student in philosophy at Princeton University and a J.D. candidate candidate at Yale Law School. In the past, he has won prizes for best senior thesis in ethics and best thesis in philosophy, and is also a Rhodes Scholar.
The event will take place October 29th at 7:00 PM at the Campus Y’s Anne McQueen Lounge. We hope to see you there!
On August 18th, the Carolina Review will be participating in Fallfest 2013. It will be occurring from 9:00 PM, until 2:00 AM. If you are a student interested in helping fight for conservative and libertarian beliefs at UNC, feel free to stop by our table and talk to our staff. We are looking for writers, cartoonist, designers, and photographers who want to help diverse UNC’s political spectrum.
If you are interested and cannot talk to us that evening, please contact our editor-in-chief David Ortiz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
